Farnham College would like to congratulate all the students who passed their A Level qualifications today, with over three-quarters securing their first-choice university places.
Students will be heading off to 22 different universities this year, including the Russell Group universities Exeter, Liverpool, Cardiff and UCL.
One of the students heading off to their first choice, is Eva Pyle, 19, who was the college’s highest achiever with A*AA in Sociology, Photography and Psychology. Eva is going to study Psychology at the University of Bath.
Eva said: “Coming to study at Farnham College has been my best experience with education so far, the support has been amazing.
“A big shout out to my tutor Rupert who really believed in me and I don’t think I would have done as well as I did without his support and confidence in me. The Learning Support team have also been incredible with their help and support.
“I’m really going to miss Farnham College but I’m also really excited for the future!”

Geography, History, Law, Media and Photography A Level subjects at Farnham College all secured 100% pass rates.
Law A Level secured a 100% pass rate, nearly 4% higher than last year’s national average for this subject area. English Literature also achieved a 100% pass rate, which is up 3% on last year’s national average for this subject area.
The college’s History and Geography A Level subjects also maintained their 100% pass rate for the third consecutive year, with Photography A Level achieving a 100% pass rate for a fifth year in a row.

Hannah O’Neill, Group Director of Academic Studies Faculty at Activate Learning, said: “We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our A Level students at Activate Learning.
“Today is a celebration of their hard work, dedication and resilience, and we share in their achievements with great joy. Many of our learners have overcome personal and educational challenges on their journeys, and their results are only part of their stories.
“Our staff will be on hand throughout results day to support students with their next steps if required, offering advice and guidance on the clearing process and helping them to explore the many opportunities that lie ahead. We wish all of our learners every success for their futures.
“I would also like to thank the incredible team of teachers, managers and other colleagues who work tirelessly to support learners.”
Fabian Burski, 19, from Aldershot, achieved a A* in History, A in English Literature and C in Psychology. He is off to his first choice university, UCL, to study English Literature before taking a Law conversion course.
Fabian said: “I loved Farnham College, it is a peaceful and calm environment with good learning facilities which really helped me study.
I would advise anyone applying to college after their GCSEs to pick subjects they enjoy and work hard.”

Sophia Hammet, 21, from Leatherhead, is delighted to have achieved a grade A in Fine Art, A in Graphics and B in Sociology. Sophia has accepted an offer from Kingston School of Art to study Illustration with the ambition of starting a career in design or graphics.
Sophia said: “I am so relieved with my results! I wasn’t sure I’d do this well so I am really happy today!”

Poppy Rance, 19, from Ash achieved an A* in English Literature. She will take up an offer to study Law at Cardiff University.
Poppy said: “I am excited to start university and want to thank my tutor Sara who really pushed me to achieve ”

Madiha Hussain, 21, from Woking is excited to accept an offer to study English Literature at Royal Holloway, Jack Davey, 18, from Guildford, is off to the University of Aberdeen to study History and Bryn Williams is excited to have accepted an offer to study Politics at the University of Aberystwyth.

Farnham College offers a wide range of A Level subjects. These include 3D Architectural Design, Art and Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, English Language and Literature, English Literature, Geography, Graphic Design, Health and Social Care, History, Human Biology, Law, Maths, Media, Photography, Physics, Politics, Psychology and Sociology. Farnham College also offers the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) as an additional option.
