Dear students,
We’re introducing a new Internal Progression Afternoon designed to help you think about what comes next after your current course and explore the wide range of opportunities available to you across Activate Learning.
This event is all about supporting you to make informed decisions about your future — whether that’s progressing to another course, moving into an apprenticeship, studying online, or exploring alternative pathways.
This event will directly link to your next progression meeting with your tutor in the coming weeks. In this meeting, you will decide which course is right for you to study in September 2026.
This discussion will also help you consider your first-choice course alongside a back-up plan. Our expert teachers will support you with this.

What will happen at the Internal Progression Afternoon?
The Internal Progression Afternoon will take place at your campus on the same day as the Open Event. These sessions will be from 3–4pm before the Open Event starts at 4.30pm.
You’ll have the chance to:
- Talk to staff about your next steps
- Learn about different courses, apprenticeships and study options
- Get advice from progress coaches, careers staff and teaching teams
Some lessons may finish slightly earlier on the day to allow you to attend.
In the weeks leading up to the event, you’ll receive information and activities to help you start thinking about your future and prepare questions you might want to ask.
We look forward to seeing you there and helping you plan your next step.
Best wishes,
Activate Learning
