For anyone who sees their future career in science the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science is an excellent starting point. It covers a wide range of topics across biology, chemistry and physics and will allow you to acquire a high level of practical laboratory skills from which the theory is then drawn. On successful completion of the Extended Diploma course, you will be able to go to university and continue on your desired science career!

who have completed the BTEC in Applied Science have gone on to study a wide
variety of university degrees including Biomedical Sciences, Diagnostic
Radiotherapy, Geology, Forensic Science, Geography and even Finance. The
course is also a good route into apprenticeships or employment, with recent
graduates now working in fields such as Cyber Security and the motor industry.
At least four GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C) or above, including Maths, English Language and a Science-based subject.
